FAQ
General
Whats the difference between a 1/2 day and a full day
Time! A half day is basically less than 4 hours and a full day is more than 4 hours (times also includes venue setup, pack up and travel)
What is covered in the cost
All the instruction (from qualified and experienced instructors) and gear. You will need to provide your own transport and food - unless specified
What if the weather is too bad for the activity
If a weather call is made then either a refund or an alternative date can be arranged
Is it safe
Definitely. The entire experience is run and supervised by professional instructors and any equipment used is rigorously tested and designed for the purpose. Although we do everything we can to maximise your safety there is always risk involved with adventure activities and as minor as the real risks may be the perceived risks are inevitably higher
Can I use my own gear
Of course, so long as it meets current industry standards and is fit for purpose
Rock climbing
Can you run birthday parties
Yes - more information can be found in the private link on this website
Is there an age restriction
Yes, there are a few considerations: 1. Minimum age for belaying is 12 years old 2. People must be able to fit the required safety equipment 3. Generally we wouldn't run sessions for kids less than 8 years old 4. Previous experience may also play a factor
Are there any weight restrictions
All the equipment can hold a minimum of 1.5 tons!! This said, it is the other end of the scale that needs weight for the systems to work. Kids would need to be more than 25kg.
Is it scary
Some people definitely find the experience to be out of their comfort zones! We are not in the business of terrifying people, our goal is to offer positive experiences and work with the ethos of challenge by choice
